Shunyang Electric Testing Branch received revolutionary tradition education in Lizhou Street

      The first stop, learn to visit the Revolutionary History Memorial Hall in Lizhou Street, Yuyao City

      On the morning of October 15, 2020, the party branch of Ningbo Shunyang Electrical Measuring Instrument Co., Ltd. has planned a day for party members to receive revolutionary traditional education. They will collectively visit the two memorial halls in Lizhou Street.

      We first came to Lianghui Primary School, located in the southern suburbs of Yuyao City, next to the expressway Yuyao crossing.

      Established in 1921, Lianghui Primary School is an earlier school built in our city. According to the principals who welcomed us, after nearly a hundred years of development, the school has been expanding in size and currently has 957 students.

       In addition to the modern new school buildings, there are three courtyards and four flat houses on the east side of the campus, three of which were old school buildings built in 1954. With the wooden-pillar corridor building and the flagstone corridor, witnessing these ancient historical buildings seems to bring us back to our school days. And the south-facing building on the northeast side is a five-bay room that has been renovated and is now opened as the Lizhou Street Revolutionary History Memorial Hall.

       During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the Lizhou Street area was an important activity area for the anti-Japanese armed forces in eastern Zhejiang, and also an important channel connecting the Three Norths and Siming. During the War of Liberation, this place was the main place where the majority of people with lofty ideals resisted the reactionaries and sought to become masters for the laboring people.

      Lizhou Street Revolutionary History Memorial Hall covers an area of nearly 600 square meters, with an exhibition hall building area of about 200 square meters. There are 8 units of revolutionary historical events, organizational evolution, anti-Japanese warfare, the dawn of liberation, important battles, deep fish and water, revolutionary heroes, and revolutionary monuments.

       Through the combination of pictures and texts with multimedia and other equipment, the system reflects the revolutionary history of Lizhou Street and the main revolutionary heroes. Become an important base for traditional education and patriotism education for young people and the masses.

      Countless revolutionaries and sons and daughters of Lizhou like Liang Hui have thrown their heads to resist external humiliation and realize national liberation, and they have used their youth and blood to compose a song of tragic heroic hymns. Their heroic performance has been for decades. Inspire us.

      The principals of Lianghui Primary School, Secretary Wu, and Teacher Hu, who is the director of the school’s office, have been accompanying us to introduce to us, letting everyone feel that the true revolutionary tradition of education comes from the school’s dedication to the depths of the education system. Promoting schools to better promote moral, intellectual, physical, and aesthetic education has also left the deepest mark on us party members from enterprises, constantly purifying our hearts, and helping to better inherit the red revolutionary spirit.

      At the second stop, pay tribute to the martyrs at the Shangwanggang Battle Monument, the Shangwanggang Battle Site, and the Shangwanggang Revolutionary Historical Relics Exhibition Hall

      Arrive at Huangming (Jin'ao Village entrance) via Provincial Highway 213, and then continue up the mountain along the Shanghuang Highway. Our Iveco bus drove 20 kilometers on the curved asphalt road on the mountain road and reached Shangwanggang Village.

       There are few pedestrians in Shangwanggang in the golden autumn, and only a few old farmers are working in the vegetable fields. The whole village is very peaceful. But on the top of Wangganggang, where the steep mountains are steep and the terrain is dangerous, one day in the late 1940s, there was a fierce gunfire battle. It happened on May 28, 1948. Our party leaders The iron and steel troops of the People's Republic of China fought fiercely with the Kuomintang troops in Shangwanggang. After this battle, the third and fifth teams in East Zhejiang moved from the passive challenge to the active attack.

       In order to better inherit the red culture and promote the spirit of Siming, we made a special trip to visit and learn today.

       Shangwanggang Village is located in the southern mountain area of Lizhou Street, Yuyao City, and consists of six natural villages: Shangwang, Xuying, Yelangshan, Fangjia, Shangnanhuang, and Xiananhuang. The village is connected to a land port in the east, at the junction of Luting in the south, Liangnong in the west, and Jiaohu Village in the north. The village covers an area of 6.35 square kilometers. There are 574 acres of cultivated land, 1225 acres of garden land, 382 acres of paddy fields, and 7735 acres of forest.

     We first went to the village committee office in Dongdauan, and the village cadres introduced us to the village history.

      Accompanied by Huang Yuanwen, secretary of the general party branch of the village, Wang Xingtang, the old village chief, and Wang Shicong, a young village cadre, came to the highest point at an altitude of 615 meters.        Now introduce the Exhibition Hall of Revolutionary Historical Relics: The Exhibition Hall of Shangwanggang Battle Historical Relics is located next to the Wanggang Battle Monument in Wanggang Village on Lizhou Street. It is to commemorate the 35th detachment led by the Chinese Communist Party and the Kuomintang troops in eastern Zhejiang during the Liberation War. The largest battle-a new battle in Wanggang. The exhibition hall displays large-scale themed oil paintings on the battle of Shangwanggang, the sand table of Shangwanggang Village and real objects, which vividly reproduce the history of the battle of Shangwanggang. It contrasts with the original Shangwanggang battle monument, which promotes the red revolutionary culture and demonstrates the unyielding spirit of resistance of the people.

     The battle on Wanggang was the battle in which the KMT and the Communist Party invested the most troops, lasted the longest, and the battle was the most intense, with the most casualties on both sides. In this battle, the three or five detachments of soldiers led by our party displayed military might and experience in positional warfare, which expanded their political influence, greatly inspired the hearts of the military and the people, and at the same time struck the enemy's crazy arrogance.

       We lost a lot in this battle. More than ten soldiers died gloriously, and more than ten others were injured.

       Strategically speaking, the Battle of Shangwanggang was a major turning point in the history of the development of the People's Armed Forces in Eastern Zhejiang. From then on, it changed from inside defense to outside attack, expanding the area of activity, and launching a wide range of guerrilla warfare.

      Party member Gan Xirong said that during the revolutionary war years, the martyrs and ancestors struggled stubbornly regardless of personal safety and dedicated their youth and even their lives to the birth of New China. Today, we came to the memorial place in the Lizhou street area to visit and learn. We received a profound education in revolutionary traditions, which will surely inspire our determination and action to keep learning and working hard to serve the society.
