News from our newspaper (reporter Xu Jie) Yesterday morning, "The Footsteps of Spring-Zhang Zhong Painting Exhibition" kicked off in Yuyao Shunda Fortune Plaza, and the exhibition lasted for eight days. For the first time, the exhibition focused on more than 300 sketches, comic strips, illustrations and ink figure paintings created in recent years by Zhang Zhong, a painter from Yao Ji, a member of the Provincial Artists Association, and the general manager of Ningbo Shunyang Electrical Measuring Instrument Co., Ltd. In addition, "Jingzhongqing·Zhangzhong Landscape Sketch" was released at the opening ceremony.
Zhang Zhong, who grew up in Yuyao City, graduated from the art class of Yuyao Middle School in 1977. He was a student of Hu Kuangyi and Chen Quanyao. Later he studied under Professor Wu Xiansheng, a painter and doctoral supervisor of the Chinese Academy of Art. Over the past 40 years, Zhang Zhong has continued to explore pen and ink language in his spare time. He is good at sketching from life, especially pen sketching. He often writes casually with a pen and a piece of white paper on business trips, recording the local customs in his own unique artistic way.
This exhibition is Zhang Zhong’s first solo exhibition. Through time accumulation and precipitation, you can get a glimpse of Zhang Zhong’s path of sketching and the growth of his techniques, and experience his hometown Yuyao, Ningbo, and his motherland from many eras. The imprints of various places and overseas have found that he loves life, praises the workers, and eulogizes the pursuit and aspirations of the times.
