1. Creative background
September 3, 2015 is the global commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War and the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. Under the leadership of General Secretary Xi, my country will commemorate this great moment on an unprecedented scale. On the morning of June 30, the Publicity Department of the Yuyao Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Municipal Federation of Literary and Art Circles held a special "Liang Nong Sketch Week Mobilization Meeting in the Red Ancient Town of Art Circles", and more than 28 authors including me were mobilized to create paintings to commemorate the War of Resistance.
2. A lot of research and sketching before creation
Record and describe the epic battle stories of that year, starting from real life, creating works that conform to the historical outlook, using artistic means to restore the historical truth, and striving to convey the love of the country and the nation in the works with a sincere heart Invest in the creation of praise of the tragic history of the War of Resistance against Japan, and contribute to the majestic power of promoting and promoting national rejuvenation. With these thoughts in mind, from July 6th to 7th, I participated in the study and sketching activities organized by the Municipal Party Committee Propaganda Department and the Municipal Federation of Literary and Art Circles in the Liangnong Anti-Japanese Red Base. I visited the ruins and managed to complete the two in Liangnong. Sketches: "Wugui Tower" and "Liang Nong Zhengmeng Street".
Afterwards, I took the opportunity of a business trip to Beijing to take the time to visit the Wanping City in Fengtai, where I had long been longing for. I visited Lugou Bridge, Wanping City, the tomb of General Zhao Dengyu, the Anti-Japanese Martyr, and the Chinese People’s Anti-Japanese War Memorial. Three sketches including "Ancient City" and "Lion Wake-up Commemorating the 78th Anniversary of the Outbreak of the All-out War of Resistance".
During the visit and study of the Chinese People’s Anti-Japanese War Memorial, from July 1943 to July 1945, I saw that from July 1943 to July 1945, the schematic diagram of the local counterattack behind enemy lines and the schematic diagram of the CCP’s creation of anti-Japanese base areas behind enemy lines in 1945: In the large areas of South China and East China, only The Siming Mountain in East Zhejiang is marked with the anti-Japanese base area symbol, which makes Liangnong, the location of the East Zhejiang Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Column, one of the 19 anti-Japanese base areas led by the Communist Party of China, very conspicuous, and strengthens my creation of a painting reflecting East Zhejiang. The determination to work in the anti-Japanese base areas.
On July 15th, I met with two old comrades of our East China Sea Urban Culture Research Institute (Dean Hua Jianxin and Zhang Guoyuan Special Researcher), and went to Liang Nong again under the sweltering heat to listen to Wu Guoqiang, Chairman of Liang Nong Branch of the New Fourth Army Research Association and others. An old secretary gave us an anti-Japanese story preaching, which enabled me to understand more details. And again I learned and felt the anti-Japanese culture in the old area, and inspected the relics of the War of Resistance in East Zhejiang, the martyrs monument, the cemetery of martyrs, the Xiaoling Old Street, and the old house of Zhang Qinshou, a veteran of the War of Resistance that is now a venue for commemorating the activities of the War of Resistance, brought me a strong anti-Japanese patriotic atmosphere. Think about the subject matter of creation.
3. Creative effort
Entering the midsummer, the sun is blazing, and the anniversary of the War of Resistance is approaching, making me, an amateur author, unable to sit still anymore! Although I'm busy with official duties, I can only squeeze time to create. I started to draw sketches on the evening of July 21st, creating a large-scale theme work of "Zhedong Beacon: The Heart of Blood and Blood", which was a large-scale display of the leadership of the East Zhejiang Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Column. Due to the lack of pictures and information, I can only collect text and pictures by re-shooting pictures in Liangnong’s Anti-Japanese War showroom, searching on Baidu on the Internet, and reading Yuyao Daily. According to the collected unclear black and white photos, according to the objects you want to draw: the four leaders of the leadership group of the East Zhejiang Anti-Japanese Base, Tan Qilong, He Kexi, Liu Hengyun, and Zhang Wenbi, conduct in-depth research and make written records of their appearance. Use the brush to rotate and adjust the posture of his head, and meticulously portray it according to the age of the four people that year, and strive to show his spirit and pride. By the evening of the 26th, the ink and wash figures have been painted. Later, I went on a business trip to Qinghai for another four days. After returning, I picked up the brush again on the evening of August 1 and worked hard to create. Finally, on August 2 I completed a large ink figure painting with a height of 1920 and a height of 1300 mm. I am very happy to paint a large-scale ink-and-wash theme painting with the theme of the East Zhejiang Anti-Japanese War. I intend to dedicate this to the upcoming grand commemorative event in our city to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War and the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, to express my respect for the revolutionary ancestors.
Although I have painted an anti-Japanese theme, I haven’t responded to the call for works from the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Calligraphy and Painting Academy, and the time has come to the beginning of August, and the phone call has also come to remind me, so my pressure remains unabated and I still have trouble sleeping and eating. You can only think about it day and night, and find information in many ways. I wanted to paint a work reflecting the theme of the Kuomintang’s positive anti-Japanese war. Finally, under the active suggestion of my old friend Wang Honglin, I made up my mind to create an ink painting of Zhou Xundian, a Ningbo-born Anti-Japanese Air Force hero. Because I went to visit the "Kunming Flying Tigers Memorial Hall" during a business trip to Kunming, Yunnan in March this year, which gave me a better understanding of the historical sites of the Flying Tigers. I used the photo taken by the hero next to the fighter plane in 1944 as a reference to improve his spirit: take off his sunglasses, let his eyes look into the blue sky, open his mouth, and prepare to board the plane to kill the enemy with firm confidence. I was retired due to the power outage of the company’s location on August 6th. I was sweating to create, but the painting was more consistent than before, and the brushwork was smooth and smooth, and it basically reached the display of the sun-shooting machine that was buried for half a century. Two anti-Japanese air force heroes who destroyed 40 Japanese aircraft on the ground. And invited calligrapher Zhao Yunsheng to write the hero's deeds in his beautiful lower letters, adding to the hero's handsome appearance.
I think the correct evaluation of the heroes of the Kuomintang Anti-Japanese War is of very important practical significance for upholding and carrying forward the party's united front thinking.
Learn to publicize the deeds of the martyrs, and strive to describe the heroic and tragic story of the anti-Japanese battlefield and the overall progress in social construction in the old area today, so as to reflect the history and warn the future. After completing the four works of "Bi Xue Dan Xin Zhao Si Ming", "Anti-Japanese Air Force Hero Zhou Xun Dian" and sketches "Wu Gui Lou", "Liang Nong Zhengmeng Street" four works and the commemorative sketch in Beijing, let me relax. Because I know that this is more than I have done in my painting creation when commemorating the 40th, 50th, and 60th anniversary of the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japan.
